The Ground Coolangatta is a vibrant restaurant known for its delicious cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation and presentation are maintained. 

Develop innovative and delicious menus that reflect our brand's ethos and appeal to our diverse clientele. 

Manage inventory levels, in including ordering  supplies and negotiating with vendors to ensure the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. 

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and food handling practices. 

Collaborate with the management team to align culinary direction with the overall strategic goals of the restaurant. 

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Chef, or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume, upscale dining environment. A culinary arts qualification of equivalent professional kitchen experience.

A deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of motivating a mentoring kitchen staff to achieve excellence.

Creativity in menu planning and a passion for culinary innovation.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

A commitment to upholding the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
